December 21, 20066 Weird Things About Me
Cheryl tagged me - I guess that means it’s time to come out of hiding for a minute or two.
THE RULES: Each player of this game starts with the ‘6 weird things about you.’ People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 6 weird things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave a comment that says ‘you are tagged’ in their comments and tell them to read your blog.
- I defend the fort in my sleep. Apparently, I am a master of nighttime kung-fu-ery. Seriously.
- While we’re talking about sleep, when I’m on my tummy, I like to bend my knees so that my feet are straight up in the air. When I’m on my back, I bend my knees and cross one over the other like man-style leg crossing, you know, with my right ankle resting just above my left knee.
- I can’t stand to handle raw meat. When we have any kind of meat for dinner, either the Mr. or a local restaurant is doing the cooking.
- I also can’t stand smelly lotions. A few weeks ago, I was looking for gifts for my sisters-in-law and decided to try one of those bath and body shops. A sales woman came up to me and asked for my hand while I was looking at something the girls might like. Not really thinking about it, I extended my arm and presented my hand. She filled the palm of my hand with vanilla lotion (special edition just for the holidays!) and told me a big stinker of a lie: that my hands are really soft and nice (my hands are dry and flaky with my nails trimmed short enough to keep me from chewing on them). As soon as I got home, I washed my hands several times as smelling like a sugar cookie can be headache inducing.
- I have migraines. They are stress induced and always start at the base of my neck and move to my left eye sometime around 4:00 am. Always. Not really weird, I know. I’m a very anxious person and my anxiety plays right into my migraines. I find that a prescription medication, hot shower and warm and furry shitty kitty to hold my feet down really helps to ease the pain. I’ve had fewer migraines since I started knitting almost five years ago, but I still get them every now and then and they really do take me out.
- Even after watching Michaele and the craziness that was her VIB project, I’m thinking of starting my own … for a little girlie munchkin.
And just for fun, here’s a link to what I’m reading right now.
I totally dropped the ball earlier this month with the whole contest thing. Since I’m still running around like a crazy lady, I’m going to call the contest a bust. You’re all winners in my book. Please accept my apologies and, I promise, next time I really will follow through.
Happy winter-time festivities.
